Missing Unicorn posters have gone up all over Manhattan and beyond, while a billboard promises a reward on 104th and Broadway. According to the signs, the mythical animal was last seen entering Central Park at West 72nd street, and the public is encouraged to call the sightings hot-line with any leads. Mimicking those photocopied fliers publicizing a lost pet, the posters are the brainchild of artist Camomile Hixon, who has invited the entire city to join the ... Read More
And to prove it, they have dedicated their third Book of Shadows all to us. With colors like the electric blue that is Radium, Psychedelic Sister’s pretty purple, and the whitish silver of Uzi (which is what I’m guessing you would see if you were actually shot by one), what’s not to love? Monday, for the first time in NYC, federal prosecutors utilized the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act to convict two men with blocking the entrance of a Planned Parenthood in Manhattan.
Both men will be sentenced June 10th. They will face a maximum of six months and a maximum $10,000 fine.
In light of the circus in Oklahoma, it's nice to know that some government folks are working to make access to abortions easier.
