Is anyone really surprised?
Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s closing prayer at the Democratic National Convention last week was filled with doubletalk calling for an end to abortion rights, gay marriage, and contraceptive coverage. The GOP base is in favor of a constitutional amendment that would prohibit abortion even in cases of rape and incest, but Mitt Romney is in favor of allowing those exceptions (which is at least a step closer to moderate and/or sane).
