And I totally agree with you, there's nothing wrong with pink or purple or Hello Kitty (I only say this because she's on my water bottle...) There's nothing wrong with looking ultra feminine and I actually think it's pretty misogynist when "girly" stuff is demonized simply because it's "girly." To me, feminism isn't about making women more like men, it's about celebrating who women choose to be. So I'm with you here. And I agree with you and happydomestic that the parking lot offers some cool perks. I mean who wouldn't want a larger spot or more security and lighting. I wish ALL parking lots were like that. My problem here with the parking lot come mostly from this quote from the article about them wanting to cater to a "woman's strong sense of color and different sense of distance." I read this like "women like pink and can't drive." And if you want to cut them a lot of slack, you can say it's coming from a really kind-hearted place- they just want to give women pretty things and help us out. But to me it just seems obnoxiously infantalizing at best and dangerously paternalistic at worst.
Call me Mr. Flintstone cuz I can make your bed rock	N/A	Nix- Every Girl is catchy and I agree that it's cool that they're, at least ostensibly, sending the message that every woman, everywhere is beautiful "and beyond it." But I think that video (and song) is more problematic because really what they're saying is "I'd like to fuck any woman with a pulse." Which is fine, they're totally entitled to feel that way, however, I don't feel like it gives women a voice or personality like "Bed Rock" does. In fact, it robs them of it because it essentially tells women, you're all the same: a walking pussy. Thank you so much for bringing it up! It's so interesting to contrast the two.

Imma geek out for a second but I really don't think Eloise was sending Daniel back to undo the murder, I think she was sending him back as a sacrifice. I mean, if she really wanted the murder undone, wouldn't she have just told him not to go to the island at all? And I'm kind of glad Shannon died early.
