Patty Griffin on Tour!	N/A	Hey HCG, Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh? 'Up To The Mountain (MLK Song) ' was inspired by a famous speech Martin Luther King made. That's why it's called the MLK song in parentheses. It's about overcoming challenges and coming to place of being centered. That's my opinion, anyway. There's a clip of Patty on YouTube speaking about it before she performs it. Good luck with your assignment.
Is 'Hot In Cleveland' Worth Watching?	N/A	Yes, I watched it. It's not very well written, directed and it's predictable. It would be nice to see a cool sitcom about adult women that isn't 'Sex And The City'. Maybe it will improve as it progresses. At least it's better than those Lifetime/Oxygen 'Drop Dead Diva' type shows. Maybe some cool, talented female TV writers should get cookin' and write a show for mature actors.
No "Get Out Of Jail Free" Card, Perez!	N/A	Isn't Ms. Cyrus, in her latest video, gyrating around like all those other talentless 'hos (Madonna, Janet, Britney, Xtina, Fergie, Gwen, Lady Gaga, etc.)? And isn't she trying to be all one note like those bitches and be all about being over-sexed? If this chick could write a fuckin' song and sing maybe she (and all the others) wouldn't have to be so boring, obvious and rely on the T & A schtick. Let's face it Mylie Cyrus will not grow up to be Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith or Dolly Parton. As for Perez, he's a sign of the times. If it wasn't him it would've been some other Cyber era mudslinger. We live in an era of that values sensationalism, youth and beauty over talent and intelligence. I hope it ends soon. I know I'm extremely tired of it
Courtney Love's 'Behind The Music' A Must See	N/A	Who cares! Once again more sensationalistic crap. If you want to know about famous female Rock & Roll junkies (who also made cool records) stick to Marianne Faithfull and Nico. Why doesn't lame ass MTV do one on a REAL female musician who started recording in the '90s like PJ Harvey or Lisa Germano?
Ari Up of the Slits, RIP	N/A	48 is way too young to die. Especially since the reformation of The Slits and the album they released last year 'Trapped Animal.' Ari, along with Siouxsie Sioux, Chrissie Hynde, & Poly Styrene gave the UK punk scene a kick in the ass when I was a teen. Hey Ari, hope you're happily skakin' up there in heaven with Sid & Bob Marley.
