2013 was a strange year. Pop culture-wise and politically, we had some memorable moments, even if most of those moments make us cringe or tear up pieces of paper or throw something upon reflection. Thankfully, though, it wasn't all doom and gloom. Microsoft made this video of the year's highlights, showcasing people who invoked technology in different parts of their lives. It serves another purpose, too: to celebrate women who achieved amazing things this past year and deserve a huge spotlight because of it. From education activist Malala Yousafzai, to Edith Windsor, who sued the federal government when they failed to recognize her marriage to another woman as valid, this video serves as inspiration to do great things in 2014. Happy New Year, BUSTies!
