Huzzah! It’s an article about breastfeeding that doesn’t include shaming, ridicule, or a nursing mom being kicked off Facebook!

Jackie Johnson-Smith had a very encouraging experience whilst dining out with her family: someone paid part of their tab. Because she was breastfeeding.

When Johnson-Smith’s husband received the receipt for their meal, this lovely note was written on it:

“I bought one of your pizzas…please thank your wife for breastfeeding!”

The good Samaritan? Their waitress, Bodi Kinney.

“[Breastfeeding in public] is kind of a taboo and society kind of frowns upon it," Kinney said. "We need to come together and support each other when it comes to nursing our children."

When Johnson-Smith posted a picture of the receipt and note on Facebook, she wrote about how much Kinney's act of kindness meant to her.

“I have breastfed three children...in countless of places both pleasant and unpleasant, discreetly and out in the open. I have gotten many looks and stares, but tonight erases any negativity I have ever received…" she explains. "I was speechless and emotional. Although I don't need a pat on the back for feeding my child, it sure felt amazing. It is amazing how we women can make each other feel when we empower each other."

Yes. Keep up the great work, ladies! We sure can use more goodness and positivity - as well as happy moms and babies! (And pizza!)
